Overview:A vacancy exists for a Machine Operator to join our team in Thatcham. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will receive full training for the role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures and policies are followed, maintaining good housekeeping standards in the working area.
  • Achieve production of corrugated board in line with documented quality procedures, isolating and documenting any failures.
  • Run the corrugator at target speeds for flute/grade combinations to meet production targets.
  • Ensure the corrugator runs efficiently to meet waste targets and continuously strive for improvement.
  • Contribute to site profitability by minimizing waste and machine downtime.
  • Complete end-of-week cleaning to required standards.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within the plant to boost productivity and reduce accidents.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects as part of ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Meet on-time delivery targets.
  • Engage in continuous self-development through job training programs and other company learning opportunities.

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience and willingness to work flexible shift patterns, including three shifts.
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven, high-tech environment.
  • Self-motivated and committed with proven time management skills.
  • Consistent and accurate attention to detail.
