Location: ThatchamStarting Salary: £34,200Shift Pattern: Rotational 3 shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) including holiday cover

Overview:An upcoming vacancy exists for a Machine Operator to join our in Thatcham. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. The successful candidate will receive full training for the role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with team members to produce high-quality corrugated packaging according to customer order specifications.
Comply with Health and Safety at Work regulations, ensuring personal safety and the safety of other team members.
Contribute to site profitability by minimizing waste and machine downtime.
Maintain high housekeeping standards within the plant to boost productivity and reduce accidents.
Participate in cross-functional projects as part of ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate with Shift Supervisors and the Conversion Manager as needed.
Meet on-time delivery targets.
Engage in continuous self-development through job training programs and other company learning opportunities.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Previous experience and willingness to work a flexible shift pattern, including three shifts.
Proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
Basic understanding of manufacturing techniques and terminology (e.g., SMED, 5S).
Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven, high-tech environment.
