This Alternative Provision is a dynamic and fun environment for learners aged 5-19 who are unable to access mainstream education. Barriers to learning may include social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, attendance issues or be at risk of exclusion.  This strong term operates over 6 sites across West Berkshire. 

All work collaboratively with all stakeholders to deliver a broad, holistic and relevant curriculum which meets the needs of all learners, helping them to become the best that they can be.

Many timetables are bespoke and meet the individual needs of the learner. In addition to full time placements for learners, we also offer off-site, reactive provision to improve mainstream engagement for key stages 1-4 and on-site, short-term, proactive packages to support mainstream engagement. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide individual support to students requiring additional help.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Participate actively in school activities and events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with teachers and staff.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or childcare are highly advantageous.
