Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a high-priority Defence project. This role focuses exclusively on electrical engineering and requires strong technical capability in LV/HV systems and associated infrastructure. Due to project timelines, this is an urgent requirement and suitable CVs need to be submitted as soon as possible.

• Deliver electrical engineering support across LV and HV installations.

• Produce and review electrical calculations, including cable sizing and load assessments.

• Support the design and specification of transformers, switchgear, and distribution boards.

• Ensure designs comply with applicable Defence, site-specific, and electrical standards.

• Engage with internal engineering teams, project managers, and safety specialists to ensure successful delivery.

• Provide technical input throughout design, installation and commissioning phases.

• Contribute to problem-solving, risk assessments, and engineering reviews.

• Proven background as an Electrical Engineer working on complex infrastructure or defence-related projects.

• Strong experience with LV/HV electrical systems, cabling design and calculations.

• Knowledge of transformers, LV/HV distribution, protection, and power system layouts.

• Ability to work within highly regulated environments (nuclear/defence experience advantageous).

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Requires existing SC clearance with eligibility for DV.
