HR Business Partner

We are seeking a forward-thinking HR Business Partner to lead on people strategy, harness data-driven insight, and champion a culture of learning and growth within a leading education charity.

Position: HR Business Partner (Internal title: People and Culture Partner)
Salary: Starting at £56,097 FTE (Salary progression based on performance. Full grade range £56,097 to £64,774)
Location: Hybrid / Reading
Hours: Full-time (Part-time 30 hours per week considered)
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

As HR Business Partner, you will work closely with senior leaders to shape and deliver people initiatives that drive organisational performance. You’ll use data and analytics to generate meaningful insight, enabling evidence-based decision-making and improved workforce planning. With a strong focus on employee development, you’ll oversee initiatives including LinkedIn Learning to foster continuous growth and professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities include:

 

  • Partnering with leadership teams to align HR strategy with organisational goals.
  • Using data and analytics to provide workforce insight, inform decision-making, and monitor progress against KPIs.
  • Leading HR processes including workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Driving organisational development and supporting cultural change initiatives.
  • Overseeing learning and development, including digital platforms such as LinkedIn Learning.
  • Championing equity, diversity, and inclusion across the organisation.
  • Ensuring policies and practices remain compliant with employment law and best practice.
  • Coaching and advising managers to build leadership capability.

 

About You

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who combines strong analytical capability with excellent relationship-building skills.

Essential Skills & Experience:

 

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally as HR Business Partner or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience in workforce data analysis and reporting, turning insight into action.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practice and employment law.
  • Experience leading organisational change and developing people strategies.
  • Background in learning and development, with knowledge of digital learning tools such as LinkedIn Learning.
  • Excellent coaching, communication, and influencing skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent professional experience.
