We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to help students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Assist in the development of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
  • Adapt learning materials and teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Support students with physical and personal care needs, where required.
  • Encourage independence and confidence in learning.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
  • Understanding of autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for education.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
