We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to help students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
- Assist in the development of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
- Adapt learning materials and teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Support students with physical and personal care needs, where required.
- Encourage independence and confidence in learning.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
- Understanding of autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for education.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
