Job Title: Supply Planning Specialist

Reporting to: Supply Planning Specialist Manager

Our customers include the top motorsports racing series including Formula One, Le Mans, IndyCar and NASCAR and we also supply transmissions for the most exclusive high-performance cars in the world. We are at the forefront of a once-in-a-generation opportunity as the automotive industry transitions from internal combustion to electric and hybrid and our experienced and dedicated teams are using the latest cutting-edge technology to achieve this transition.

Xtrac also has a new partnership with Zoerkler, a specialist in gear manufacture and precision engineering. This strategic venture marks a significant step forward in our ambitious growth plans and reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class transmission components and systems to our customers.

About the Role

As a Supply Planning Specialist your focus will be to plan the manufacture and delivery of Xtrac’s advanced transmission systems for our motorsport and automotive products. You will be responsible for detailed manufacturing capacity planning to ensure that the Production Schedule can support the business requirements.

In your role you will create and maintain a valid Production Schedule, based on commercial demand, over the short term (0-4 months) along with planning for the long-term Production Schedule (5 – 24 months) to ensure that sufficient resource capacity is available to meet the forecast requirements.

About You

You will need to have an understanding of fundamental ERP principles with knowledge and understanding of common manufacturing techniques. You will be methodical in your approach with good attention to detail. You will use the ERP system tools to manage job status during the planning phases and respond to changes in demand. Current Epicor E9/E10 experience will be an advantage although training will be provided as appropriate.

The role will require the ability to interface and build strong relationships with colleagues throughout the business including commercial, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain. You will be educated to A-level, HNC or have equivalent experience within engineering and have at least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing planning environment. You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure. Excellent organisation skills are a must and previous experience of project management would be an advantage.
