Your new companyWe have an opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a growing manufacturing business close to Thetford. You will be a key member of the Senior Management Team and will continually review, develop and improve Health, Safety and Environmental systems and operations throughout the business.Your new roleYou will lead and promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the business, supporting the board in all matters relating to EHS. You will provide information, guidance and advice to all members of staff on environmental, health and safety matters, develop and implement policies, procedures, systems and training to ensure the business is away compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.You will ensure all risk assessments are in place and up to date, lead and guide teams in investigations of any workplace incidents or accidents. You will record, produce and review all statistics relating to near misses and any accidents in order to implement improvements to safety standards. Monitor and maintain emission limits with local authorities, water, sewage and environment agencies where applicable.You will approve, maintain, monitor and audit subcontractors off site, manage site first-aiders and fire marshalls, ensuring they are up-to-date on process and procedures.What you'll need to succeedYou will hold a Nebosh General Certificate and a Nebosh Diploma (or be working towards it). You will have experience gained in a manufacturing environment. You will be a great communicator who can engage white people at all levels and lead training and development sessions.
