Assembly Technician – Engineering/Manufacturing | Full-Time | On-SiteLocation: WattonWe’re working with a specialist engineering client who is currently looking to recruit a reliable and organised Assembly Technician to join their production team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude, looking to grow within a supportive and process-driven environment.The Role:You’ll be responsible for the preparation, sealing, and quality control of heating elements, working closely with the wider production team to ensure all work meets strict safety and quality standards. Full training will be provided in specific processes, making this an ideal role for someone with a hands-on approach and a willingness to learn.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and catalogue elements, updating spreadsheets accordingly
  • Apply sealants and silicone according to work instructions
  • Carry out insulation resistance (IR) tests using a mega meter
  • Store elements correctly and record their location
  • Perform quality checks in line with internal standards
  • Liaise with team leaders to stay informed on upcoming jobs
  • Manage storage and disposal of spares and scrap items
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including weekly clean downs
  • Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and Lean/5S procedures
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Well-organised and methodical
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate, comfortable using MS Office
  • Proactive and team-oriented with a can-do attitude
  • Prior experience in a production or assembly environment is desirable, but not essential
  • Full training provided for sealing and quality processes
