The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a high-profile project based in Norfolk. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s fastest-growing contractors, known for its dynamic and entrepreneurial culture, strong employee engagement, and clear pathways for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined section of works on a large-scale civil engineering project

  • Set out all aspects of civil works accurately and efficiently

  • Interpret drawings and specifications to create and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)

  • Ensure quality management systems are maintained and site activities meet design and compliance standards

  • Collaborate closely with the Site Agent to plan and resource works effectively

  • Take responsibility for temporary works, ensuring safe and compliant design and implementation

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and members of the project team

Key Requirements (Essential)

  • Proven competence in setting out all types of civil works

  • Ability to create and implement ITPs from drawings and specifications

  • Experience completing procurement schedules and material take-offs

  • Valid CSCS card relevant to the role
