Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Near Thetford, Suffolk
Remuneration: 13 - 15 per hour (dependant on experience)
Contract Details: Temporary, 2 days per week (14 hours)

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Accounts Manager and assist the small office team with day-to-day accounting tasks.
  • Manage purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations with attention to detail.
  • utilise Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Farmplan Accounting software effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally within the team and with external contacts.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in supporting wider office operations as needed.

Good communication is essential.

Accounting Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of VAT and experience with purchase/sales ledgers are desirable.
  • Previous experience in bank reconciliations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in IT packages, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Farmplan Accounting software.
