A new role for a QA Manager who can take ownership of quality assurance, food safety, and compliance at a busy food manufacturing site.
This role is all about being present where it matters - on the factory floor. You'll lead the QA team, ensure standards are met day-in, day-out, and play a key role in site readiness for BRC audits. You'll also be responsible for preparing reports and updates for the senior leadership team - keeping them informed.
This is a role for someone who thrives on the factory floor, gets stuck into the detail, and leads from the front.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the site's Quality Management System (QMS)
Lead HACCP, food safety, and GMP compliance across all departments
Monitor and improve performance against internal and external standards (BRC, retailer codes of practice, etc.)
Manage a team of QA Technicians - coaching, supporting and ensuring consistency
Lead internal audits, support external inspections, and manage non-conformances
Review quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions
Champion a culture of continuous improvement and food safety excellence
Work cross-functionally with production, technical, and site leadership teams
What You'll Bring:
Proven QA/Technical experience in food manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, and food legislation
Experience managing or developing a QA team
A proactive, practical mindset - someone who leads by example and gets things done
Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels
Qualifications in food science, microbiology, or a related field preferred
