This is a family business and a BRC A+ leading supplier of fresh, high-quality products into foodservice, wholesale, manufacturing and retail nationally.
About the Technical Manager job
The main purpose of your role will be to continue to uphold the company's BRC standard through documentation, auditing, and management.
Key tasks
- Ensure that teams are maintaining correct high quality and meeting customer requirements of specifications and quality attributes.
- Lead and facilitate the introduction of new processes, methods, equipment, and the production of products, both new and existing.
- Take effective action in the event of non-conformances / customer complaints to determine the root cause and reduce the risk of reoccurrence.
About You
You should possess solid experience working in a QA or technical role in food manufacturing. In addition:
- Ideally educated to a degree level in food science, food safety, or a related subject.
- Ideally holder of qualifications including HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3.
- Experience of working with the BRC standard.
A driving licence and own transport will be needed due to the sites location.

The Technical Manager job is based in North Yorkshire and is paying a competitive and negotiable pro-rated salary, according to your experience. The role is to cover a period of sickness for 6 months.
The package includes 28 days holiday (pro-rated, including Bank Holidays) and a statutory pension.
The working hours are up to 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday (usually 7.00am to 4.00pm) with Saturdays (usually 6.00am to midday) on a rota basis and then a day off in lieu.
