A level 2 NVQ or equivalent is required for this role with willingness to work towards a Level 3 Diploma ( provided by the company).

Action4Care are seeking enthusiastic and proactive individuals to join our amazing team of support worker staff.
This role will require you to work as part of a team to support neurodivergent adults within a shared residential home settings. This includes but is not limited to individuals with autism, Learning disabilities, Down syndrome, Mental health, Challenging behaviour and epilepsy.
Our aim is provide person centred care to support and encourage those we support to live as independently as possible whilst providing individualised support to suit their wans and needs.
Your role will be to support individuals to carry out day to day activities both within their home and out in the community. You will also assist with personal care, administering medication, cooking, assisted feeding, cleaning, shopping and general day to day tasks.
You must be willing to work a range of shifts on a 24 hour, 365 day basis (this includes bank holidays and weekends.) Shifts are allocated alongside the needs of each service and your line managers will work closely with you for any commitments around your working schedule.
As a Senior Support worker you will be expected to have good team leader skills along with good communication and listening skills, with a friendly approachable personality. This role will require you to already hold a NVQ Level 2 or Degree to enable you to enrol onto your NVQ level 3.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- To provide a professional and residential care service to all Service Users and to promote the development of the individuals full potential.
- To ensure that high standards of professional care and practices for service users are established and maintained, including appropriate attention to their physical, cultural, social, educational, recreational and emotional needs.
- To ensure all support plans are up to date and accurate.
- Be part of important meetings in relation to service users care and well being.
- To ensure shifts run smoothly and service users are receiving the correct support in line with the support plans.
- To attend Senior support worker meetings.
- Liaise with management.
- Organise medications and prescriptions.
- Oversee cash handling and medication handling.
- Confident to make and take calls with healthcare professionals.
