Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Teacher for the position of IT Teacher to join our alternative provision in Thornton Heath

Position: Experienced IT Teacher

Location: Thornton Heath

Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Placement: Temporary (potential for permanent)

Daily Rate: Paid according to your teaching scale

Requirements: QTS

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in IT to students aged 14-19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, and other behavioural difficulties.
  • Develop and implement engaging IT curriculum tailored to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Skills Required:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this role.
  • Extensive experience in teaching IT, preferably in a similar SEN setting.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage classroom activities and resources.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet the varying needs of students and address challenges effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of young people.
