Adecco are seeking a proactive and dedicated Building Manager to oversee the management of temporary accommodation units for homeless individuals and those with mental health needs. This is a vital role ensuring safe, clean, and supportive environments for vulnerable residents.

  • Full Time - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • £21.72 per hour PAYE / £28.68 per hour Umbrella
  • No hybrid working available - fully office based in Thornton Heath, Croydon.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage admissions, discharges, and day-to-day housing operations
  • Supervise cleaning, maintenance, and security staff
  • Conduct health & safety checks including fire safety and water hygiene
  • Liaise with support agencies and internal teams to ensure resident welfare
  • Maximize rental income and minimize void periods
  • Respond to resident enquiries and manage tenancy issues, including legal action when necessary
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in hostel or housing management
  • Strong understanding of homelessness and related legislation
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload independently
  • Commitment to equality, safeguarding, and customer service
  • Proficiency in MS Office and housing management systems (e.g., OHMS)

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
