Our client, a leader in the retail industry, is seeking a dedicated PHC Technical Readiness Leader Scientist to join their innovation team. This role is integral to the delivery of the Personal Health Care (PHC) innovation pipeline for Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements (VMS), a key growth driver for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to define learning plans that address complex formulation and technology questions, including product preparation and stability assessments.
utilise the scientific method to build, execute, and report on technical learning initiatives-defining problems, gathering data, forming hypotheses, testing them, and reporting findings.
Ensure technical product development readiness aligns with business timelines, delivering projects to the required standards.
Provide formulation and technology advice to various functions within medicinal product development projects across Europe.
Assess product feasibility and conduct technical activities in partnership with CMs.
Develop product development strategies, including due diligence, risk assessment, and intellectual property strategy.
Expand knowledge of external supplier technology portfolios and design effective learning plans for technology evaluation to achieve innovative breakthroughs or cost efficiencies.
Qualifications:
A background in Life Sciences is essential.
Proven experience in Technical Readiness within regulated environments is required.
Proficiency in technical systems and a strong quality mindset.
Strong project management skills to ensure project readiness in alignment with timelines and standards.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate collaboration across various R&D and Marketing functions.
Previous experience with manufacturing and packaging processes in regulated settings is necessary. Specific knowledge of tablets, soft and hard gel capsules, and oral liquid products is desirable but not mandatory.
