Production Team Lead

Job Title: Production Team Leader (AM or PM)
Location: Reading, UK
Shifts Available: 06.30am/3pm or 3pm/11.30pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Team Leader to join a dynamic manufacturing team based in Reading, UK.

The Production Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the activities on the production assembly line, ensuring build quality, safety standards, and production efficiency are maintained. The role requires hands-on problem-solving, team guidance, and close collaboration with supervisors and support departments to remove production flow constraints.

Main Responsibilities for the Production Team Leader:

• Champion all aspects of health, safety, and risk management within the work area.
• Coordinate production flow and ensure timely achievement of production goals.
• Maintain hour-by-hour data and identify root causes and corrective actions to production issues.
• Participate in daily Tier 3 meetings and support resolution of quality and production issues.
• Provide regular feedback to Team Supervisors/Production Managers regarding line performance.
• Flag discrepancies in work standards, instructions, and drawings for resolution.
• Guide and support team members on the line, including covering other lines as needed.
• Prepare line for the next shift, including clean-up, tool readiness, and material staging.
• Manage holiday and absence reporting for line staff, in line with company policy.

Experience required for the Production Team Lead:

• Experience within an Assembler role is key.

• Capable of training new associates, including one-on-one tutoring.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Familiarity with inspection, testing, and customer specification compliance.
• Adaptable and proactive, with the drive to meet deadlines.

• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to support and lead team members.
