The Role
As Quality Inspector Team Lead, you'll supervise a team of Quality Inspectors and Technicians, ensuring inspection processes meet strict quality and safety standards. You'll be instrumental in improving inspection efficiency, driving best practices, and maintaining calibration systems. Your technical expertise and leadership will support daily priorities and contribute to wider business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate daily activities of the Quality Inspection team.
- Maintain calibration of all inspection equipment.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using CMM, shadowgraph, and manual tools.
- Support quality reporting, technical analysis, and process improvements.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and inspections align with required standards.
- Create and maintain Inspection and Control Plans.
- Manage non-conformance and reject documentation processes.
- Drive 5S and HSE standards across the department.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support production and resolve quality issues.
About You
- Proven experience supervising quality inspection teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong metrology background; ideally in automotive or volume production.
- Skilled in using hand tools and CMM equipment, with knowledge of GD&T.
- Familiar with PPAP / FAIR processes and Gage R&R studies.
- Confident communicator, highly organised, and solutions-focused.
- Able to read technical drawings and work methodically with precision.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
