Facility Supervisor - 12 Month Contract
Location: Thurso (Full Time Onsite)
Rate: 25.86 - 40.46 per hour Umbrella
IR35: In Scope

A great opportunity has arisen for two Facility Supervisors to join a leading organisation at their Dounreay site. The successful candidates will play a key role within Site Services, overseeing operations and maintenance activities in the Dounreay Cementation Plant (DCP).



Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise work within the complex, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in line with procedures

  • Review and prepare safe system of work documentation

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all areas

  • Participate in work scope and hazard reviews, work scheduling, and coordination

  • Report and investigate abnormal conditions, incidents, and equipment failures, taking appropriate action to protect personnel and the environment

  • Carry out Management Authorisations relevant to the post (e.g. Permit to Work Issuer, Radiation Protection Supervisor, Lift Supervisor, Radioactive Materials Coordinator, Risk Assessor, Project Supervisor, FCA Building Warden)

  • Line manage and support staff within the facility



Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory or operational role within a highly regulated environment

  • Strong organisational and planning abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Positive, proactive, and self-motivated approach

  • Relevant site and plant operation knowledge

Contract Length: 12 months
Working Pattern: Full time, on-site in Thurso
