Do you have experience in customs clearance, with a freight forwarding background in deep sea imports?

Are you looking to join a growing global logistics company, offering training and development to progress your career within the supply chain industry?

On offer is the opportunity to join an AEO-accredited company with over 40 years of experience within the freight forwarding and logistics sector. With an extensive global coverage, they specialise in Far East ocean imports, with expertise in customs clearance.

In this role you will be working within a close knit team to arrange import clearances for key clients and provide researched based guidance to customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors for accurate customs processing. ensuring compliance with AEO standards. You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of the global supply chain and develop relationships with multi national organisations in the Far East and across the globe.

The Role:

  • Arrange import clearances and ensure prompt processing for key clients
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information to process customs clearance
  • Providing guidance to customers on importing goods into the UK, including advice on commodity codes, customs procedures, and general import requirements for the UK market
  • Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

The Person:

  • Freight forwarding/logistics experience
  • Understanding of HMRC trade tariffs and FTA
