Health and Safety Officer
Rate: £40ph Outside IR35
Location: Tilbury Docks
Length of contract: 12x weeks starting ASAP!
Shifts: Monday – Friday 40hours with potential for overtime
The Ideal candidate for this Health & Safety Officer role will have a background in Manufacturing and/or Construction projects. CDM background is essential.
Health & Safety Officer role & responsibilities:
- Permits to work
- Creation of risk assessments and method statements
- Management of compliance towards H&S on the construction site
- Completion of all H&S documentation
- Toolbox talks
- The Health & Safety Manager will oversee day-to-day H&S operations
- Maintain and improve H&S management systems (CDM background beneficial)
- Ensure compliance with key regulations including COSHH, PUWER, ATEX, LOLER, and DSEAR
- Conduct gap analyses, implement improvements
- Fire and risk assessments; building safety
- Engaging stakeholders across construction site
Health & Safety Officer Experience:
- First aid trained
- CDM understanding is key
- Candidates must come from Manufacturing/construction background
- NEBOSH general
- Strong auditing experience to ISO standards
