We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Plant Hire Controller to join a highly successful civil engineering company. This role is pivotal in managing the daily operations of equipment rentals and workflows within the company, ensuring efficient coordination and customer satisfaction.
Day-to-day of the role:- Coordinate equipment availability, arrange deliveries, and collections, and liaise closely with customers to fulfil their rental needs.
- Ensure all machinery is maintained, inspected, and fit for hire while also tracking its location, usage, and service status.
- Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including employees, management, regulatory agencies, and the community to ensure smooth operations.
- Proactively handle administration tasks and maintain high standards of organisation and time management to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive experience in a similar role within the civil engineering sector.
- A comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- GCSE’s Grade 9-4 or equivalent.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, with a ‘can do’ attitude without compromising safety and/or compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Confident with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with managers at all levels within a business.
- Proven administration experience and excellent attention to detail.
