Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Mentor to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Tiverton. This role involves working 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil, providing tailored support to help them engage with learning and manage emotional and behavioural needs.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil
  • Assist with classroom activities and emotional regulation
  • Implement strategies to support learning and behaviour
  • Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a support or mentoring role
  • Knowledge of SEN and behaviour management techniques
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development


Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in education, childcare, or support work
