Job Title: Learning Support Mentor - Primary School (Year 2 Pupil)
Location: Tiverton, Devon
Salary: 95-113 per day (depending on pay type)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only 08.30 - 15.30
Start Date: ASAP
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Mentor to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Tiverton. This role involves working 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil, providing tailored support to help them engage with learning and manage emotional and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil
- Assist with classroom activities and emotional regulation
- Implement strategies to support learning and behaviour
- Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a support or mentoring role
- Knowledge of SEN and behaviour management techniques
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant experience or qualifications in education, childcare, or support work
