Prelim Cell Operator - Metalwork Manufacturing

Location: Tiverton

Hours: Mon-Wed 4pm-2am, Thu 4pm-1am (36 hours per week)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Prelim Cell team, which plays a vital role in supporting other manufacturing cells by preparing metalwork processes and fulfilling customer sales orders. This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute to the high-quality production of our precision slides, ensuring stock and customer orders are completed to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow scheduled plans (written and verbal) to carry out cutting, straightening, and chemical finishing processes.

   

• Prepare precision slides for both stock and customer orders.

   

• Work accurately and efficiently to meet production requirements.

   

• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and attention to detail at all times.

   

Skills & Experience

• Basic knowledge of metalwork and related properties.

   

• Mechanical skills including cutting and straightening.

   

• Experience with manual handling and safe lifting techniques.

   

• Ability to differentiate between different product types.

   

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
