A production shift manager role for candidates with a food manufacturing background.
This is a critical role in a fast-paced, quality focussed business with a successful track record in their sector across their customer base. They are adding to their production team and need an ambitious individual to join, someone who wants to develop themselves and make that next step in their production career.
Great shift pattern allowing for 14 days off in every 28, 7 of those consecutive!

What will your day involve?
- Manage the production team with focus on safety and quality.
- Communicate and track KPIs across the shift.
- Optimise labour use to meet the production plan.
- Develop team skills through training and performance monitoring.
- Drive team accountability and performance.
- Lead, coach, and review team performance (PDPs/PDRs).
- Promote continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
- Work with other shift managers to achieve cost savings.
- Stay hands-on to identify and remove production blockers.
- Communicate plans clearly to align with operational strategy.
We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong team leadership by example and high standards.
- Clear communication of KPIs with coaching and context.
- Solid understanding of GMP and HSE compliance.
- Focus on efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Genuine interest in people management and team development.
- Good grasp of OEE.

- Pride in achieving top-performing shifts.
- Effective handovers and collaboration across shifts.
