An established and highly regarded accident repair centre in Tonbridge is looking to recruit an experienced Panel Beater to join their skilled workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in jig work and structural repairs to become part of a quality-driven, customer-focused business.
The Role:
As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality body repairs on a range of vehicles, restoring them to their original condition with precision and care. Experience with jig work is essential, as the role will involve regular structural repairs and chassis realignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out structural and non-structural repairs on all vehicle makes and models
Perform jig work to ensure correct alignment and integrity of vehicle frames
Remove and repair damaged panels using both traditional and modern techniques
Use filler, sanding, and preparation methods prior to refinishing
Work closely with paint and mechanical teams to ensure seamless repair processes
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and industry standards
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, on time and to specification
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Panel Beater in a professional bodyshop
Jig work experience is essential - including use of bench systems or measuring equipment
Strong understanding of panel repair and vehicle body alignment techniques
High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Familiarity with modern repair tools and materials
Full UK driving licence
ATA accreditation is desirable but not essential
