The role of Project and Design Manager is responsible for leading the planning, Execution and delivery of design - lead projects from beginning to end. Ensuring that the design quality is maintained while delivering on time and within budget.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Degree in Design, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in managing design-oriented projects
- Project Management Cert like PRINCE2 or PMP is highly desirable
- Proficient in Project Management tools and design software
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Organisational and leadership skills
- Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, often working to tight deadlines
Project Management:
- Develop and maintain project plans and timelines
- Monitor progress, resolving issues and provide regular updates
- Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead end to end project life cycle including planning, budgeting, scheduling etc..
Design:
- Review and approve design concepts, drawings etc..
- Translate company needs and objectives
- Ensure adherence to design standards, best practice etc..
