Reed Business Support is recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator role. This position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain operations within a dynamic environment. The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including coordination with suppliers, managing logistics, and maintaining accurate system records.

Supply Chain Coordinator Day-to-day of the role:
  • Coordinate with international suppliers to ensure timely production and shipment of orders.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders and third-party logistics (3PL) warehousing providers for the efficient receipt and storage of goods.
  • Process and maintain accurate records in the IT system for goods receipts, movements, adjustments, and expected arrival times.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager in various operational tasks and decision-making processes.
  • Manage supplier relations, including generating orders, arranging payments, and handling queries and issues.
  • Oversee freight logistics, including cost approvals, scheduling, and compliance with customs requirements.
  • Maintain accurate stock control and system maintenance to ensure alignment with financial and customs compliance.
  • Coordinate with 3PL partners to establish best practices, monitor performance, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Supply Chain Coordinator Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a role dealing with international vendor relations, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Experience in international freight logistics.
  • Proficient in using an ERP system, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Excellent numeracy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Highly organised, motivated, and capable of managing a varied workload.
  • Strong communication skills, confident and diligent, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
