Trainee Operative
Location: Tonbridge
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £26,360.32 per annum
Shifts:
- Mon–Thu: 06:30–15:30 or 07:30–16:30
- Fri: 06:30–11:30 or 07:30–12:30
We are looking for a Trainee Operative to join a busy production team in Tonbridge. This role offers full training and hands-on experience working with vehicle components for sweeper trucks. You’ll play a key part in preparing, coating, and finishing products to a high standard, while developing valuable skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, wash, blast and mask fabricated parts for finishing
- Hang, coat, bake, and inspect components to quality standards
- Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Pack and transfer components without damaging finishes
- Carry out daily cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping duties
- Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle tools
- Team player with clear communication skills
- Ability to work independently when required
- Physically fit to meet the demands of the role
