Neighbourhood Manager

Hourly rate: £31.53 via Umbrella

Location: South Wales (Hybrid)

Hours: Full time

Duration: 3 months initially

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the administration and management of transfer applicants
  • Provide general advice on housing options such as mutual exchanges to help existing tenants and other customers to meet their housing requirements
  • Consult with the supported housing team relating to letting supported living schemes, ongoing tenancy support in floating support schemes and obtaining support for new clients
  • Co-ordinate and conduct pre-allocation interviews with all prospective new tenants to ensure relevant advice about tenancy and support is offered to sustain a tenancy
  • Co-ordinate and conduct settling in visits for new tenants
  • Prepare monitoring and performance reports when required
  • Maintain tenancy and property records.
  • Manage the empty properties process in their area from notice stage to re-letting
  • Undertake neighbourhood and internal communal area inspections on a regular basis
  • Consult with other agencies such as social services, tenancy support agencies, occupational therapists, and GPs to progress and resolve tenancy issues
  • Manage the older people’s accommodation in their allocated area
  • Deal with neighbour complaints and anti-social behaviour by taking a pro-active approach focusing on prevention, support and multi-agency working
  • In appropriate cases arrange for the service of notices, such as Notice Seeking Possession, Notice to Quit etc.

Essential Skills:

  • Two years’ work experience in the social housing sector including housing management and/or community investment
  • HNC in Housing or equivalent
  • Full driving licence and access to own car
