We are working with an award winning Education provider in the area of Totnes, Devon. They are looking for a Primary and/or Secondary Curriculum Lead to add to their team. The role is Term time only over 39 weeks. This will be for September 2025 start.

This role sits within the professional leadership and management team for the school. This will promote a secure foundation from which to achieve high standards in all areas of the school’s work.

  • The Curriculum Lead must establish high quality education by effectively working with the SLT to manage the teaching and learning whilst using personalised learning to realise the potential of all students.
  • To teach pupils across the full age and ability range present in the Key Stage in order to ensure the highest possible standards of student’s achievement, personal development and wellbeing
  • The School has a wide range of students presenting with additional learning needs which include speech, language and communication issues, Asperger’s, Autism, SpLD, MLD and BESD.
  • Develop a strategic view for the Key Stage
  • Keep up to date proactively with national developments to ensure students have the best possible curriculum, pastoral support and wider opportunities
  • Advise the Senior Leadership Team on all matters relating to the Key Stage
  • Lead the interview, placement and induction for new students
  • Lead on the whole-school assessment strategy, ensuring it is rigorous, well-evidenced and is easy to communicate to pupils and parents
  • Track and analyse pupil performance data, paying particular attention to disadvantaged groups such as those eligible for the pupil premium, with special educational needs, or who speak English as an additional language
  • Plan and implement interventions for those pupils who are not progressing
  • QTS/Relevant Teaching Qualification
