We're recruiting for a Sole Accounts Assistant to join an innovative organisation reporting directly to the finance director.

As the Sole Accounts Assistant, you will report directly to the Finance Director and be responsible for maintaining the financial backbone of the business. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, wants to broaden their finance skills, and make a tangible impact within a small but ambitious team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of the Accounts Payable ledger
  • Full responsibility for treasury and daily banking
  • Posting and processing journals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Month-end reporting and management accounts support
  • Maintaining strong financial controls
  • Assisting with AR and internal stakeholder queries

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is AAT qualified or studying toward a recognised accountancy qualification
  • Has at least 2 years' experience in a similar finance role
  • Has excellent Excel and financial systems skills (NetSuite is advantageous but not essential)
  • Brings energy, attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Enjoys working independently but with guidance from a supportive FD
