Our client has recently relocated to the Port Of Felixstowe, we have a number of vacancies for transport planner roles.
Working within the transport office in Felixstowe, you will be assisting in the routing , planning and support of the HGV fleet of vehicles, the drivers and the general operation of the general haulage business.
Job description
Day to day trailer planning (allocating resource and reloading trailers)
Maintaining haulier relationships
Working as part of a team with support and guidance
Maintain and develop a link between customer service and operations
Dispatch and tracking of trucks & drivers
Skills and competencies:
Excellent communication skills
Experience in similar role or market
Experience in trucking/haulage industry
Fluent in English
Good knowledge of IT systems
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge in UK geography, driver hours and law, trailer transport, shipping ferry/port knowledge and last but not least UK haulage market.
