About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Project/Program Manager to lead and deliver high-value projects and programs from initiation through to execution, manufacture, product launch, and final delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing bids, driving product improvements, and overseeing variations while ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Our client is a world leader in delivering mission-critical solutions for military, law enforcement worldwide.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, and feasibility assessments in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review proposals, manage budgets, and conduct cost analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, delegate tasks, and monitor progress.
  • Manage risks, establish mitigation plans, and communicate contingencies.
  • Chair and present at program meetings (design reviews, progress updates, gate reviews).
  • Maintain strong customer and supplier relationships to exceed expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor fiscal performance and adjust plans to meet program needs.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Education: Engineering degree or related field; APM certification preferred.
  • Experience:  5+ years project/programme management experience
  • Background: Need to have a mechanical engineering / manufacturing background
  • Need to have exposure to mechanical product development NPI, NPD
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project, Earned Value Management, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and influence stakeholders.
    • Financial and commercial awareness.
  • Desirable: Training in APM or similar project management methodologies.
