We take a strategic, whole-life approach to commissioning accommodation and community-based support for children, young people, and adults — ensuring residents have the right support, at the right time, throughout their lives.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Commissioning Service Manager to lead the operational management of a specialist service. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the relevant Head of Service to ensure our commissioning vision is translated into high-quality, effective service delivery.

Location: Wiltshire

As a subject matter expert, you will:

  • Lead the identification, development, and implementation of innovative commissioning strategies.
  • Oversee and support Team Managers to deliver efficient, high-performing front-line services.
  • Drive co-production initiatives and foster strong collaboration with partners, including health services, to achieve outstanding public satisfaction.
  • Navigate complex political and operational landscapes with confidence, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, such as the Care Act and CQC standards.

About you

You’ll bring:

  • A degree in a relevant subject, or substantial evidence-based commissioning and staff management experience.
  • Significant expertise in Adults Commissioning and regulatory engagement (e.g., CQC).
  • A deep understanding of relevant legislation and policy.
  • Strategic leadership skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a politically diverse organisation.
