Multi-Trade Carpenter (Responsive Repairs)
Location: Central Cornwall (Truro, Redruth, Falmouth, and surrounding areas)

Contract Type: Temporary (12 weeks trial leading to permanent position)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Carpenter to join a well-established maintenance contractor's Responsive Repairs team in central Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled carpenter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a varied, hands-on role carrying out day-to-day repairs in people's homes.
In this role, you will be responsible for completing a variety of responsive repairs in domestic properties. Your work will cover a range of carpentry and general maintenance tasks, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out a variety of carpentry-based repairs including door hanging, skirting boards, windows, architraves, and general maintenance
- Undertake other multi-trade duties (plumbing, basic tiling, plastering, etc.) where required
- Respond to repair requests from tenants and homeowners in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard of quality and in compliance with health and safety guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with residents
- Complete all paperwork and reports as required by the company
Essential Requirements:
- Proven carpentry experience, but also including door and window repairs, framing, joinery, basic plumbing repairs, patch repairs, basic tiling repairs)
- Experience in responsive repairs within occupied properties
- General multi-trade skills (basic plumbing, tiling, and plastering are a plus)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle (preferred for the initial 12 weeks, not essential)
