Private Client Vacancy – Leading South West Law Firm

A highly respected and well-established law firm with multiple offices across Cornwall and Devon is looking to recruit a Private Client Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or experienced Private Client Fee Earner.

This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional seeking a progressive and flexible firm in the South West.

This vacancy forms part of the firm’s ongoing strategic growth within its successful Private Client department, offering long-term development and a high quality of work.

About the Role

This role will see you manage a broad and interesting caseload of private client matters, including:

  • Drafting and advising on Wills and Trusts
  • Handling Probate and Estate Administration
  • Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPAs)
  • Inheritance Tax planning and estate structuring
  • Working with high-net-worth individuals and families, depending on experience

You will join a collaborative and expanding team with excellent internal support and opportunities to grow your career within the department. 

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Private Client Fee Earner
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling a private client caseload
  • STEP or ACTAPS membership is advantageous, but not essential
  • Strong client communication skills and a proactive, professional approach
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team dynamic
  • Interest in relocating to or already based in Cornwall or Devon
