Key Responsibilities:

Work alongside class teachers to support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.

Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups to boost understanding and progress.

Assist in managing classroom behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Support pupils with a range of needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEND) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Help monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessment and observation records.

Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom organisation and displays.

Supervise pupils during break times and other non-classroom activities, as required.
The ideal candidate will:

Have prior experience working with children or young people in a school or educational setting.

Be approachable, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Show initiative and flexibility, with the ability to adapt support to meet the needs of different learners.

Have strong communication skills and a good understanding of safeguarding practices.

Possess a minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Desirable:

Experience supporting pupils with SEND or behavioural needs.

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
