Employment Law Solicitor

We are seeking a qualified Employment Law Solicitor with 2-4 years PQE to join our dynamic team in the City of London. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and dedicated employment law professional to advance their career in a Tier 1 Firm.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues, discrimination claims, redundancy processes, TUPE transfers and employment tribunal claims.
  • Advising both employers and employees on employment rights, contracts, workplace policies and risk management.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating employment contracts, settlement agreements and HR policies.
  • Representing clients in employment tribunals and supporting dispute resolution processes, including mediation and negotiations.
  • Providing practical, tailored advice that aligns with clients' business objectives or individual needs.
  • Supporting business development by networking, building client relationships, and contributing to the firm’s growth.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
  • Staying up to date with employment law developments and regulatory changes, ensuring clients receive accurate and current advice

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge of employment law, including experience handling tribunal claims, redundancies, TUPE and discrimination cases.
  • Excellent client care skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with tribunal experience being advantageous.
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with case management systems.
  • A flexible, solutions-focused approach, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
