We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Service Manger to lead and coordinate our clients Aftersales Department. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest quality of service, achieving departmental profit targets, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Main Purpose of the Role:
You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Aftersales team, including Service Advisors, Technicians, Apprentices, and the Workshop Controller. Ensuring 100% productivity and customer service excellence is at the heart of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the Aftersales Manager in their absence
  • Deliver excellent customer service in line with brand expectations
  • Lead daily team briefings and ensure clear communication of goals and policies
  • Monitor Workshop In-Progress (WIP) daily and drive efficiency
  • Manage systems such as 1 Link, Coopers, EVHC, and VW Hub to maximise workflow
  • Coordinate warranty processing, parts delays, and job card accuracy
  • Oversee team cover for holidays, sickness, and lunch rotas
  • Ensure compliance with VQM, Service Audit, GDPR, and MSQP standards
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness, safety, and organisation in all areas
  • Provide support and training to team members

  • Manufacturer partners and external inspectors
  • Customers and suppliers
