We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our academic team at a further Education Establishment. This role is integral to providing high-quality education and adheres to the Professional Standards for Teachers and Trainers in Education and Training - England. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about delivering a diverse curriculum and committed to enhancing student learning experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design and deliver engaging educational programs across various courses, focusing on both vocational and non-vocational subjects.
  • Conduct and oversee assessments according to college policies and standards set by awarding bodies, including participation in verification processes.
  • Serve as a personal and group tutor, setting SMART objectives for students and offering consistent guidance.
  • Maintain detailed records of courses and student progress, utilizing college systems for accurate data management and reporting.
  • Implement innovative teaching techniques and digital tools to improve student engagement and educational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with faculty members on curriculum development and evaluation, actively participating in the college's self-assessment and quality improvement efforts.
  • Support the marketing and promotion of courses, which may include flexible working hours to accommodate college events and open days.
