We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our academic team at a further Education Establishment. This role is integral to providing high-quality education and adheres to the Professional Standards for Teachers and Trainers in Education and Training - England. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about delivering a diverse curriculum and committed to enhancing student learning experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:

Design and deliver engaging educational programs across various courses, focusing on both vocational and non-vocational subjects.
Conduct and oversee assessments according to college policies and standards set by awarding bodies, including participation in verification processes.
Serve as a personal and group tutor, setting SMART objectives for students and offering consistent guidance.
Maintain detailed records of courses and student progress, utilizing college systems for accurate data management and reporting.
Implement innovative teaching techniques and digital tools to improve student engagement and educational outcomes.
Collaborate with faculty members on curriculum development and evaluation, actively participating in the college's self-assessment and quality improvement efforts.
Support the marketing and promotion of courses, which may include flexible working hours to accommodate college events and open days.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Adherence to the Professional Standards for Teachers and Trainers as outlined by The Education & Training Foundation.
Proven track record of planning and delivering high-quality educational content.
Experience in assessment management and familiarity with the requirements of awarding bodies.
Skilled in the use of educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of nurturing a supportive educational environment.
