Due to our continued growth, my client are proactively seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to become a vital part of an expanding team covering the London area. The ideal candidate will be based no more than 1 hour from the West London area and within London, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire or Buckinghamshire.
Key Responsibilities:
Service and Maintenance Expert: Responsible for the service and maintenance of air conditioning systems, including DX splits, VRFs, and VRVs.
Collaborative Problem Solver: Liaise with the office team to diagnose faults and implement remedial steps.
On-Call: Engineers are expected to cover an out-of-hours on-call service on a rota basis, with all overtime paid, including door-to-door travel.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Level 2 and/or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (F-Gas)
- NICEIC 18th Edition
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience
Licensing:
- Full Driving Licence
Communication Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise diplomacy, tact, sensitivity, and control when managing difficult or vulnerable clients/consumers
Work Style:
- Demonstrates a proactive, driven, and committed approach to work
- Ability to analyse queries, identify problems, and develop solutions
- Excellent team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Capable of working accurately under pressure and meeting time targets
