We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Plumbing Lecturer to deliver exceptional teaching, learning, assessment, and tutorial support to students. This role is crucial in supporting the development of the curriculum through employer engagement and learner skills development. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of our students in the vocational and technical studies department.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Plumbing to maximise student achievement and continuous improvement.
  • Select appropriate assessment methods and criteria, assess student work and progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support the development of the curriculum with a focus on employer engagement and enhancing learner skills.
  • Implement effective target setting, monitoring, and reviewing of student progress.
  • Work under pressure to meet strict deadlines set by validating bodies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hold a plumbing qualification (Level 3 or above).
  • Possess a teaching qualification and recent teaching experience in Plumbing within an FE College environment.
  • Demonstrable record of tutoring and supporting learners.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy and general office software management skills.
  • Effective presentation, delivery, and time management skills suitable for a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure, use initiative, organise, and prioritise workloads.
