LB383 - Project Support Engineer

Salary: £34,000

Location: Twyford 

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Project Support Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Preparation of customer specific designs and quotations, working closely with external Sales Team to ensure projects run efficiently from initial enquiry through to project completion and the fielding of technical enquiries from customers and colleagues.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • By reference to customers’ electrical drawings, develop designs, prepare product schedules and provide quotations for customers’ projects
  • Mark up customer drawings.
  • Liaise with customers and external Sales Team to ensure that quotations are created to the correct specification.
  • Answer telephone and email enquiries from customers regarding products.
  • Liaise with both regional and office-based colleagues regarding project progress and likely customer requirements.
  • Make site visits if/when necessary.
  • Work in accordance with health & safety policy.
  • Work in accordance with the intentions and requirements of the equal opportunities policy.
  • Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Electrical installation knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Experience of CAD (or similar) would be an advantage but not a necessity.
  • Possess a good knowledge of electrical principals.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically.
  • Good numeracy and IT skills including competent use of Word, Excel & PDF.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and organise work.
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork.
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Flexible approach to duties and tasks.
  • Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Able to travel when required.
  • Hold a full, valid driving licence.
