Finishing Machine Minder


Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate digital printers and software, including media and toner replenishment after successful completion of Finishing equipment training.
  • Pre-cut stock to size using guillotine if required.
  • Manipulate files ready for printing.
  • Die cutting and stripping pallets of WIP once they are cut and creased.
  • Feed and pack on the gluing line.
  • Cut samples when needed using the automated CAD table for customer samples and mock-ups.
  • Pallet wrap and strap pallets being dispatched.
  • Conduct quality checks of products in QA.
  • Maintain general tidiness in the production area, washroom, and mezzanine.
  • Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on the machines as required.
  • Communicate with the office when problems arise or something is required.
  • Hand glue samples and small quantity jobs.
  • Organise cutting dies in the racking.
  • Print case labels and apply them to jobs being dispatched.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to help in other areas of the business when required.

  • Efficient time management skills to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in using PC & Mac.
  • Previous experience in commercial digital print is preferred, but training will be provided.
  • Experience within manufacturing, preferably in packaging.
