Manufacturing Engineer - Uckfield - £40k - £45k per annum plus company benefits

Our client is an extremely well established and successful organisation based in the Uckfield area; due to continued growth and expansion they are now growing their team and looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks across the site.
  • Maximise machine availability
  • Maintain records to comply with site policies and health & safety standards.
  • Oversee new plant installations/space planning
  • Oversee and record weekly inspections
  • Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation and promote a culture of safety across the team.
  • Provide full training to staff on safe operation of machines

Experience required:

  • Educated to HNC / Degree level ideally in mechanical engineering, multi skilled with an electrical bias
  • Proven experience in a furniture manufacturing or production engineering role
  • Experience with CAM software
  • Good computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, AutoCAD).
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Able to communicate confidently with people at all levels.

Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
