Position: Support Chef

Overview:
As a Support Chef, youll work closely with the kitchen team to help prepare, cook, and deliver high-quality dishes to our guests. Youll play an essential role in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen, supporting senior chefs during busy service periods and ensuring all food meets our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes across all sections of the kitchen.
- Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and service.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, following all health and safety guidelines.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times.
- Help with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated correctly.
- Assist in setting up and closing down the kitchen before and after service.
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and reduce waste.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
- Take initiative and be willing to learn new skills and techniques.
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is desirable but not essential.
- A passion for cooking and a strong desire to develop within a kitchen team.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety (Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate preferred).
