IMMEDIATE START - WAREHOUSE OPERATIVEJob Summary:We are seeking dedicated a Warehouse Operative to join a global business on a 1-month temporary basis with the potential to be extended. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, including heavy lifting, picking, and packing orders, stock maintenance, general cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and production areas, operating forklifts, and handling materials efficiently.What's in it for you?

£12.50 - £13.00 per hour
Outskirts of Uckfield
Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm
Must be a driver, due to location
Onsite parking
Fully equipped kitchen and break out area

Responsibilities:

Perform heavy lifting and moving of materials within the warehouse
Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment
Maintain stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks
Maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse / production area
Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing shipments
Handle shipping and receiving duties effectively
Conduct materials handling following proper procedures

Requirements:

Safety shoes / boots are a must
Prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not required
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks consistently
Familiarity with warehouse operations such as picking, packing, and inventory management
Proficiency in using forklifts or willingness to learn
Basic electrical knowledge for equipment operation
Capability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Strong attention to detail for quality control purposes
